After undergoing a field trial for about 90 days, the world’s most recently launched social networking site Google+ has today announced the following features meant to improve user interaction:
+Hangouts: Hangouts uses live video to bring people together, in a face-to-face-to-face manner. Among the features +Hangouts are:
Hangouts on your phone: Aimed to enable people communicate in real-time. Hangouts currently supports Android 2.3+ devices with front-facing cameras with iOS support expected soon. The new mobile app was rolled out via Android Market today.
Hangouts On Air: Created to allow users who want to communicate to a large group do so via broadcast. The feature can currently be used by a limited number of broadcasters, but any member of the Google+ community can tune in.
+Search: Enables users to find the people and posts that are relevant to them.
Search in Google+: Due to enquiries from users, Google has today announced the launch of “search” expertise to Google+. To use the feature, one just types what is being sought into the Google+ search box, after which Google will return relevant people and posts, as well as popular content from around the web.
9. Anyone can sign up for Google+ as no invitation is required. This ensures that anyone can visit google.com/+, join the project, and connect with the people with whom they share interests.
