Kenya’s household goods and appliances shoppers are set to enjoy more convenience – and even more personalized service – with the opening of Panasonic’s fully equipped and new comprehensive showroom in Nairobi.
On July 9, the firm revealed the secret, announcing via its Facebook page that it would set up a showroom in Nairobi Kenya on July 17 as indicated below:
Then from July 10, the firm has been running an online promotion, inviting people to “LIKE” its “Panasonic East Africa” Facebook page and stand a chance to win various prizes – with the grand prize being the Panasonic VIERA 42” LED TV:
The promo, called Panasonic Plaza, closed at 2pm on Monday July 15.
The opening of Panasonic’s Nairobi showroom, apart from according more choice and convenience to existing and potential household goods and appliances’ clients, will also open up the market for much-needed competition to other firms and manufacturers that have previously had a foothold in the household appliances market.
Among these are LG which has showroom through its local distribution partner HotPoint Appliances; SONY with its own independent showroom as well as Philips and Samsung that have also established a formidable local presence in this market.
But in all this – and ultimately – it is the Kenyan consumer that benefits from the variety of choice as well as convenience.
