In late October last year, Business Daily reported that over 20 execs – mostly from top management – had left Samsung’s East Africa regional office for various reasons.

Over 2 months later, many of those who decamped from the electronic firm’s regional office have found new abode. Among these is Danish Oyugi, Samsung East Africa’s former country manager for hand held products who has since moved to Lenovo as the business head for East Africa.

But how about the other big names at the firms – like Robert Ngeru, Albert Kigada and Manoj Changarampatt -, what are their plans and where are they possibly headed?

Below is our most probable guess on their next locations from information gathered from various sources:

Robert Ngeru: Samsung former VP and COO, who served the firm for over a decade from early 2010, is rumored to be eyeing a new position at Philips.

Albert Kigada: The former head of the Korean firm’s printing division has since founded his own IT firm Alben Technologies, which supplies IT equipment. However, he’s keen on getting into the mobile devices market by importing ‘Sleek’-branded mobile phones.

Manoj Changarampatt: He served as Samsung’s IT and mobile director for East and Central Africa before leaving the firm in early 2015. The grapevine has it that he’s working on plans to re-introduce the ‘Alcatel’ mobile devices into the region. Whether he’ll be working as a Distributor or employee of the French-based company is still unclear.
