Orange to acquire Lexsi to beef up its cyber-defence division

Orange has announced that it has entered into exclusive talks with Argos Soditic to acquire Lexsi, a provider of security threat intelligence services in Europe.

Established in 1999 and based in France, Lexsi provides high-end auditing, consulting, incident response and training services in IT security to more than 400 active customers. The group employs more than 170 experts and runs the largest independent Computer Emergency Response Team in Europe.

The acquisition would represent a new milestone in the development of Orange Cyberdefense, the IT security services subsidiary of Orange Business Services, bringing additional expertise and capabilities to its portfolio and strengthening its position as the IT security services leader in France and a leading player in Europe.
The transaction is subject to the necessary information-consultation meetings with employee representative organizations and is expected to be completed in the second quarter of 2016.

Argos Soditic, which has a major stake in Lexcis, is a Swiss‐based independent European mid‐market private equity firm with offices in Geneva, Paris, Brussels, Frankfurt and Milan.
