Econet’s Strive Masiyiwa to speak at African Green Revolution Forum in Nairobi




Econet Wireless founder Strive Masiyiwa will be among the key speakers at the forthcoming 2016 African Green Revolution Forum (AGRF) set for Nairobi, Kenya from September 5 – 9. Masiyiwa is current chair of AGRF.

The forum comes at a time when farmers have more choice in the seeds they plant, the fertilizers they use, and in the markets they sell to.

The AGRF forum, to be hosted by President Uhuru Kenyatta of Kenya,will assemble key players in African agriculture from farmers to policy makers, donors, decision makers and Heads of State as we ‘seize the moment’ and advance the policies needed to transform African agriculture.

Other speakers are former President of Nigeria and Chairman of the Africa Food Prize, Olusegun Obasanjo; Commissioner for Rural Economy & Agriculture, African Union, Rhoda Tumusiime Peace and President of the African Development Bank, Dr Akinwumi Adesina. Also set to share their insights at the Forum are President of the Rockefeller Foundation, Dr Judith Rodin; USAid Administrator, Ms Gayle Smith; Senior Vice President, AGCO, Dr Rob Smith and CEO of Yara International Mr Svein Tore Holsether.
