Hacks/Hackers Nairobi to host Kenya Open Data team on July 8




Hacks/Hackers Nairobi will this Friday – July 8 – host the OpenData.go.ke team and have them share the vision and expectations they have for the 50 fellows over the next six months.

Attendees will also find out what strides ICT Authority has made with the Government Open Data platform so far and how journalists, technologists, public sector watchdogs and the public can engage with the data and do more to help improve services as well as what the first and second Open Data Fellow cohorts.

The session is a follow up to an announcement made two weeks ago when the Kenya Open Data Initiative put out a call for 50 data fellows for its third Open Data Fellows program. The successful fellows will be  embedded into county and government institutions working to help open up data.

The session will run from 6pm on Friday, 8th July 2016 at the Nairobi Garage along Ngong Road.
