The announcement comes at a time when the Kenyan Government has set out to drive the country towards becoming a globally competitive digital economy. According to the Kenya National ICT Master Plan (2017), the Government aims to further promote digital capacity, innovation and enterprise in the country.
“Kenya’s reputation as an African technology, trade and development hub confirms it as a strategically sound location for INTRASOFT to establish its regional headquarters. The company further announced the official launch of its banking solution suite, PROFITS, into the East African market. “We look forward to making our contribution by delivering solutions that will enhance efficiency in the public and private sectors in this era of unprecedented digital change. PROFITS is the first of many innovative solutions we offer East Africa, that will empower banks, microfinance institutions and SACCOs to adapt quickly to change occasioned by global and regional trends including mobile money, big data, cloud, security and changing regulatory environment,” said Wambui Mbesa, CEO and Regional Director of INTRASOFT International East Africa.
PROFITS provides operational stability and provides opportunities for growth to financial institutions. The system portability across almost all platforms and databases liberates our clients from up-scaling costs and the comprehensive suite of solutions include enhanced administrative functionalities which decrease overall development and testing efforts, and banking system maintenance.
