Econet Media’s Kwesé Sports will bring African basketball fans live coverage of the USA Men’s National Team exhibition game versus Nigeria game taking place on August 2, 2016 as part of the USA Basketball Showcase.
Kwesé has acquired exclusive rights to stream the game live across Africa and the live action will be streamed on the official Kwesé Sports website and be accessible across the continent.

Fans will also have the opportunity to experience the live game on the Kwesé Sports Facebook page in the continent’s first ever live streaming of a sports event through Facebook Live.
This is the latest development following Econet and the NBA in April announcing a multiyear partnership to provide the most expansive NBA coverage ever across sub-Saharan Africa beginning within the 2016-17 NBA season.
The game tipoff is at 19:00 CT on August 1, 2016 in Houston, Texas. This means that to catch the action live, fans on the African continent need to tune in to the Kwesé Sports platforms at 2am CAT on August 2, 2016. Through live streaming, the continent’s fans will be able to root for the team as they catch each pass, shot and rebound, with by-the-second live commentary, wherever they are.
“African basketball continues to grow in popularity and African players are making their mark on the global stage. Kwesé is excited to be at the forefront of bringing live coverage and commentary to basketball fans on the continent in the most innovative way possible” said Joseph Hundah, CEO of Econet Media.
Being part of the live action is as easy a clicking a few tabs on any preferred device. In fact, it’s so easy that fans need to be more concerned about staying awake until game time than finding a way to watch the live action!
