GOtv Kenya will reduce the price of its Lite and Value bouquets on August 20, 2016. The company has reduced the monthly subscriptions fee for the GOtv Value bouquet by 28 per cent from Kshs 650 to Kshs 470 per month. On the other hand, customers on GOtv Lite bouquet will now pay Kshs 160 per month or Kshs 375 per quarter or Kshs 840 per annum down from Kshs 1,800.
GOtv Kenya GM Felix Kyengo said: “This change in price is a show of increased commitment by GOtv to deliver the most affordable digital family entertainment to its subscribers. Our subscribers will pay less but still enjoy the same quality of entertainment. They will also continue to access the same number of channels on their respective bouquets only at a lower rate.”
GOtv Lite subscribers will also get access to two new channels namely Emmanuel TV and SuperSort Blitz in addition to the 14 existing TV channels on the bouquet. GOtv Value subscribers have access to over 25 channels including sports, news, general entertainment, children’s programming, and religious content.
The price of GOtv’s most premium bouquet – GOtv Plus, remains Kshs 920 per month. GOtv Plus offers its subscribers over 40 channels among others Africa Magic channels, Mnet Movies Zone, Telemundo, Sony Entertainment, Zee World, SuperSport 2, SuperSport Blitz, Nat Geo Wild, CNN in addition to all local free to air channel. GOtv Plus subscribers will also have access to 3 new SuperSport channels: SuperSport 5, SuperSport 7 and SuperSport 12 dedicated to the broadcast of the Olympic Games beginning August 5, 2016.
The price of the GOtv decoder and GOtenna also goes down to Kshs 2,999 from the previous cost of Kshs 3,999 beginning August 1, 2016. The decoder comes bundled with one month free GOtv Plus to ensure subscribers immediate access to the best quality entertainment. The decoder alone will retail at Kshs 1,999 and is available at all leading dealers and retail outlets countrywide.
