Tigo Tanzania has launched a new bundle, dubbed ‘Fiesta Packages’, specifically meant for the 2016 Fiesta Festival.
The Fiesta Packages – which apply to both call and data – are aimed to benefit both Tigo and non Tigo customers during the Fiesta 2016 season and will be available to all the customers, whether attending the concerts or not.
The new packages enable customers to choose between the 1GB data option or the unlimited package that includes 490 minutes Tigo to Tigo, 10 minutes across all networks and 100 SMS for Tshs 1000 (US $ o.5) while a non Tigo customer who purchases a Tigo 4G SIM card will get 60 minutes, 60 SMS and 60 MB instantly upon registration and thereafter choose between the data and unlimited package option.
In a press briefing held at the Tigo Headquarters, The Tigo Brand Manager, William Mpinga said: “These packages come as a promise made to our customers on the different offers and promotions that will be available during the Fiesta 2016 festival. We will also continue to introduce innovative products and services to meet the needs of our customers and also make room for new subscribers”
Mpinga elaborated that the Fiesta 2016 Festival welcomed all Tanzanians, adding that the fete will also provide socially transformative activities that are in line with Tigo’s corporate social responsibility policy.
“Early last week we introduced the 2016 Fiesta festival motto, “Fiesta 2016 Kwa Kishindo cha Tigo, Imooooo!” whereby the rationale behind this motto is to provide products and services that are tailor-made for our customers during the duration of the festival”, explained Mpinga.
Present at the event was the coordinator of the Fiesta 2016 festival, Sebastian Maganga, who said: “We are greatly excited to announce that the Fiesta 2016 festival will officially commence in Mwanza on the 20th of August 2016. The residents of Mwanza and its environs should therefore, look forward to these special packages and to a fun-filled week of activities before the concert”.
