Few months after he left SAP where he was the MD for the firm’s East Africa operation, Andrew Waititu has joined General Electric (GE) Healthcare as MD for East Africa.
From his professional profile, Waititu moved to GE in August this year, and has been at the helm of the firm’s Healthcare division for 5 months now. GE Healthcare – which provides solutions and products for the global healthcare industry – is among the 11 business units of GE, the others being GE Aviation, GE Capital, GE Digital, GE Energy Connections, GE Lighting, GE Oil & Gas, GE Power, GE Renewable Energy, GE Transportation and Current powered by GE.

Waititu left SAP in May this year after being with the enterprise software maker for 6 years. He joined the firm from Microsoft where he was the Anti Piracy Lead for East and Southern Africa.
Following Waititu‘s departure, Ashley Boag, SAP Africa’s Chief Business Officer, was seconded to the Kenya office as the acting MD for East Africa.
Recently however, there were reports that Dr Gilbert Saggia, the immediate former MD at Oracle East Africa, had also moved to SAP though his role and official designation is yet to be formally announced.
