OPPO has announced that its latest premium model – the OPPO F3 – is now available for local pre-order up to May 22, 2017.
The first customers to book the OPPO F3 in advance, which debuts on May 23, 2017, will get free mobile accessories that – including a Selfiestick, Power bank, Wireless headphones and Bluetooth speaker – all estimated to cost Kshs 16,000.
Retailing at Kshs 32,990, the OPPO F3 is a dual selfie camera phone.
Speaking during the announcement in Nairobi, Andrew Peng, CEO, OPPO Mobile Kenya, said the OPPO F3 launch in the Kenyan market will reinforce the company’s drive to give phone users an innovative camera phone while cementing its status as the most reputable Camera Phone maker in Kenya.
“Selfies and group selfies have become a social norm for Smartphone users in a tech and socially conscious society and the OPPO F3 blends cutting-edge technology, research and development that makes Smartphone photography quite the experience,” said Peng.
Also dubbed the ‘Selfie-Expert’, the F3 features a dual front-facing selfie camera; a high-resolution 16MP shooter for high quality selfies with beautification technology, paired with an 8MP wide-angle shooter with a field-of-view that is 2 times larger than standard selfie camera for group selfies.
The OPPO F3 is powered by an Octa-core processor backed by 4GB RAM and 64GB ROM and offers a triple-slot card tray that can hold two Nano 4G SIM cards with a micro SD card expanding memory to up to 128GB.
OPPO Mobile, currently the largest in market share in China and fourth globally, seeks to replicate its Asian business model in Kenya which has made it a runaway success.
Founded r the last 10 years, OPPO has focused on manufacturing camera phones. OPPO started the era of selfie beautification, and was the first brand to launch smartphones with 5MP and 16MP front cameras. OPPO was also the first brand to introduce the motorized rotating camera, the Ultra HD feature and the 5x Dual Camera Zoom technology. OPPO’s Selfie Expert F-series launched in 2016 drove a selfie trend in the Smartphone industry.
