Eugene Kaspersky who participated in the event and focused his presentation on key cybersecurity issues relating to critical infrastructure, said: “Meeting our partners at such events is crucial for comparing notes and updating each other on the most important challenges of cybersecurity and industry perspectives. Cybersecurity is a growing global concern, and we see cyberthreats becoming increasingly – scandalously – dangerous, like the latest global outbreak of ransomware has demonstrated. We need to work closely together with our partners to ensure provision of cutting-edge protection for our customers in this crucial region. I’d like to thank all those participating in this conference for all their hard work. With the evolving threat landscape, we’re going to have even more work in the future.”
Maxim Frolov, Kaspersky Lab’s MD for META region presented plans for business development in the META region. He said “We constantly invest in research and development through our experts around the world and our solutions and services – such as Kaspersky Security Intelligence Services, unique Kaspersky Industrial CyberSecurity and our secure operating system. We have also been strengthening our partner program, built around profitability, ease of doing business, and vendor support. With these combined elements, together with our partners we can be even more successful in META”.
Khaled Abdulla Al Qubaisi, CEO, Aerospace, Renewables and ICT of Mubadala, Abu Dhabi’s leading strategic investment company, active in 13 sectors and more than 30 countries around the world, said: “Working in high-tech sectors, including ICT, is inspiring because the development is so fast that you can see the changes over several years. It brings well-being to people and success to organizations. But new innovations, such as many of those used in smart cities, should be implemented responsibly – with security in mind. It’s great to see so many distinguished companies brought together by Kaspersky Lab at the conference, dedicated to both business and cybersecurity development in the Gulf region. The event was very informative and productive”.
