Natassia Badenhorst has joined Oracle as the software maker’s PR lead for sub-Saharan Africa, replacing Claire Alexander who left the firm late last year and joined NCR Corporation as a Sales Account Executive for Retail products at the beginning of 2017. Claire had been with Oracle from July 2010.
Ms Badenhorst joined Oracle from Girls Invent Tomorrow where she’s a co-founder and PR representative at the beginning of this month.

Just like Claire, Oracle’s new Communications Manager for South Africa and the wider Sub Saharan Africa will be based in the firm’s South Africa office. She will work collaborate with all South Africa and sub-Saharan Africa Country Leads while also liaising Marketing leads; Channel and Alliance managers as well as Transformation teams in the execution of their various strategic initiatives.
She will report to Gaurav Bhatnagar, Oracle’s Corporate Communications Director for Middle East and Africa who had been coordinating communication activities for the region since Claire‘s departure and before she was appointed to the position.
Badenhorst is described as a solid technology PR professional with nearly 13 years of industry experience in South Africa and rest of Africa. She joins Oracle from a PR agency – Fleishman Hillard – a firm with operations and affiliates globally. In her agency life, she led communication campaigns for other tech brands including Microsoft; SAP; Intel; AMD; Software AG; Westcon; T Systems; Philips Lighting; Accenture and Avaya among others.
Natassia has a B-Tech degree in Public Relations management from Tshwane University of Technology. Natassia is also a huge advocate of women taking up more roles in STEM fields and in her spare time she contributes to an NGO that she co-founded with this mission.
