OPPO 5, a full-screen smartphone, to be launched in Kenya later this month

OPPO Kenya is set to launch its 6-inch Full Screen device, the OPPO F5 in the Kenyan market on Monday November 20, 2017.

The OPPO F5, the successor to the OPPO F3, features advanced specifications compared to previous models.

The device, already on sale in other markets, comes with a ‘full screen design’ with a full-HD+ resolution, meaning that it has a display with an 18:9 aspect ratio (that is the ratio of the width to the height of an image or screen).

A pre-launch statement from OPPO Kenya also states that the device will also feature Artificial Intelligence (AI)- enabled selfie beautification.

“The Selfie Expert and Leader will feature the ground breaking AI Beauty technology – which uses artificial intelligence from a massive global photo database to beautify a selfie shot. This will be the first time, the AI technology has been integrated into selfies by a camera phone brand in Kenya,” states the pre-launch release.

The OPPO 5 has a 20-megapixel single camera setup at the front which is said to work in conjunction with the AI feature.

As the image above indicates, the OPPO 5 will be available in a variety of colors.
