Senanu said that with the new website, AccessKenya wants as many people as possible to understand its technical products and services and engage the firm online using the live chat service available on the site and social media platforms.

The new website – designed by a Kenyan company, Digital Brush – is easy to navigate and details Access Kenya’s products and solutions which have been simplified to allow for easy understanding.

The new website is in reaction to the fact that there has been a pressing need for a more intensified awareness creation since most people AccessKenya as an Internet Service Provider (ISP) yet the listed company offers other IT solutions besides internet connectivity.

“We have a wide range of IT services that we offer but most people only relate us with connectivity. We have invested heavily in offsite back up services, data storage, and inter-branch connectivity – or commonly referred to as MPLS – and soon we will be launching a banking product,” Senanu noted.

He noted that the Kenya is experiencing exponential growth in the IT sector saying that IT needs for most of the company’s clients are fast-changing, adding that the site is expected to elevate the Group’s online image especially following its recent emphasis on social media.

AccessKenya is among the few listed companies with a heavy online presence. Currently, the company engages most of their clients on Twitter and Facebook and has LinkedIn, YouTube and Google Plus accounts.

“We have a team of savvy communication and technical support engineers who monitor queries and requests submitted online and accord immediate support and response. We believe we are leading the way in the adoption of technologies that are meant to simplify lives,” he said.

AccessKenya also runs a traffic update website which has 39 I.P. cameras that monitor traffic in real-time. The traffic cameras, which were installed at a cost of over Kshs 5 million, have become a convenient tool for many a motorists in the city and currently the company is working on creating a mobile application to enable city dwellers use the service.
