Vodafone; Airtel and Orange among Top 20 largest mobile operators globally




UK’s Vodafone Group – which owns Kenya’s Safaricom and Tanzania’s Vodacom; India’s Bharti Airtel  – which owns Airtel Kenya as well as France Telecom’s Orange– which has a majority stake in Telkom Kenya, have emerged among the Top 20 largest mobile operators in the world according Wireless Intelligence ‘Scoreboard.’

According to the latest rankings – for Q2 2012 – Bharti Airtel comes in a position 4, two positions behind UK’s Vodafone Group which comes in at position two globally while France Telecom Orange – with operations in 16 African countries – comes in at position 12.
