CCK Director Peter Simani among fatalities at Westgate terrorist incident

Even as the attack and hostage situation at Nairobi’s Westgate Mall   – which began on Saturday September 21, 2013 at around midday and is yet to be resolved until now – details of the number of fatalities are slowly emerging with reports indicating that about 69 people lost their lives.

Among those who lost their lives is a director at the Communications Commission of Kenya (CCK) Mr. Peter Ldhituachi Simani who joined the telecoms industry regulators board in February 2011 for a 3-year term. He was appointed to the CCK Board in February 2011 for a three year term. Mr Simani was also the Chairman of Kenya’s Political Parties Disputes Tribunal.

  2. Indeed it is sad to have lost this astute lawyer and citizen of the world. We shall miss him as family, friends and the fraternity of the larger Lenana School family.

  3. It is so sad and painful because Peter was a regular guest at Whitesands Hotel in Mombasa and he was a joy to serve and always gave good advise that i have not forgotten to this day. I wish all his family God’s strength to sustain them through this trying time.
