
In efforts to offer a worry-free communication platform through technology, Vodacom Tanzania, the country’s leading cellular network has partnered with Samsung to unveil the latter’s water-resistant brands of smartphones in the market, Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge.
The two new brands of Samsung smartphones launched in the city today will be available for sale in all Vodacom shops and Samsung outlets across the country.
“Samsung Galaxy S7 or Galaxy S7 Edge which will be available in all our shops will come with a free Power-bank; and the first 50 buyers will get extra free Galaxy Level U Bluetooth earphones,” said Samson Mwongela, Vodacom Tanzania Head of Acquisition & Devices.
Mwongela noted that the features of the two smartphones are tailored to suit the needs of the youth especially with the forthcoming Easter holidays, as they will be able to enjoy unmatched fastest data offers from Vodacom.
Describing the devices’ unique features during the launch, Samsung Tanzania Country Manager, Suleiman Mohamed said what sets these smartphones apart is their ability to be immiscible in water for up to 1.5 metres deep for up to 30 minutes.
“The possibility for young people to stay connected and remain at par with their peers all over the world is endless, especially with the approaching deadline of switching off all sub-standard mobile phones before the end of June, this year,” said Mohamed.
Another key feature of these two smartphones is that, both models maintain the sleek metal chassis of the previous editions, with the S7 Edge keeping the curved back and screen.
