After hospitality, Mitsumi Group ventures into cash deposit service




Less than a week after it opening the Golden Tulip Hotel in Nairobi, which formally announced its entry into the hospitality industry – regional electronics distributor, Mitsumi Group has announced plans to get into the region’s cash deposit arena.

Mitsumi Group, through its technology arm Komtel Kenya, is set to unveil a 24-hour Automatic Cash Deposit facility that is expected to significantly reduce long queues that experienced in banks.

The new service will be unveiled tomorrow Wednesday April 13, 2016 at the group’s Golden Tulip Hotel located along Muthithi Road in Westlands.

According to Mitsumi Group, the new facility that will be “70% faster than normal teller machine” is part of the Group’s new strategy to tap into the growing banking and retail sectors as it diversifies its investments.

Apart from Mitsimu Group and Komtel executives, others expected to attend the launch event are representatives from Cash AccSys, a South Africa-based vendor of ATM solutions.

On Friday April 8, Mitsumi Group formally launched 94-room Golden Tulip Hotel, put up a cost of Kshs 2.5 billion and which will be run by Louvre Hotels Group.
