Former Wananchi Group CEO Richard Alden was has been arrested after he allegedly shot dead a woman at his Karen home.
According to Citizen Digital, Nairobi CID boss Nicolas Kamwende said Alden was taken to Karen Police Station for interrogation as a probe on the incident commenced.

Alden is said to have shot the woman – whom he was allegedly having an affair with – after a disagreement. The two were at former CEO’s home when the incident happened.
“The former Wananchi Group CEO however, claims the woman shot herself,” reported Citizen Digital.
Blogger Robert Alai was the first to break the news via Facebook but the public seemed skeptical, instead waiting for the Kenya Police to confirm the incident.
Alai however stated that the suspect is the current Wananchi Group CEO, not former holder of the position.
Alden joined Wananchi Group in January 2013 as the COO and left in November last year after serving as CEO for over 2 years.
