“Over the last four years, Safaricom Business has built a solid foundation as a solutions provider for the enterprise market which has given us deep insight into their IT requirements,” said Rita Okuthe, Director, Safaricom Business.
“We discovered that small businesses rarely have access to the same kind of expertise. The ‘Ready Business’ platform seeks to empower SMEs to become more competitive, more efficient and help them to deliver better experiences for their customers through the intelligent use of technology,” she added.
‘Ready Business’ marks a change in strategy for Safaricom Business, with the division transitioning from being a product vendor to becoming a solution provider.
To help business measure their level of readiness and what they need to improve their competitive advantage, Safaricom Business will also be rolling out the Ready Business Index.
The Ready Business Index is a simple step by step test that benchmarks a business’ processes against global best practices.
At the end of the process businesses will receive their Ready Business ranking, along with what solutions they can apply to achieve best of class connectivity and payment capability. In addition, by taking the Index, businesses will have access to a consultant who can offer further advice on identified gaps and solutions.
