Liquid Telecom Zimbabwe and its sister company ZOL were both recognised at the recent Mashonaland Annual Business Awards hosted by the Zimbabwe National Chamber of Commerce (ZNCC).
These awards are the most prominent and prestigious business awards in Zimbabwe and regonise home-grown non-manufacturing companies which are dynamic, innovative and successful.
This year’s ceremony took place on 3 June in Harare and was attended by Minister of Industry and Commerce Mike Bimha as well as business men and women from across the private and public sectors.
Liquid Telecom Zimbabwe was named as the ICT Company of the year with the second runner-up award going to sister company ZOL, a retail ISP. Southern Region Technical Company (SRTC), a customer of Liquid Telecom’s, was named as first runner up in this category.
Wellington Makamure, Liquid Telecom Zimbabwe MD, said “Of course we are both honoured and delighted to receive this award from the ZNCC. I would like to congratulate our team across Zimbabwe who work so hard to provide our customers with a superfast and highly reliable broadband service.”
Liquid Telecom Zimbabwe has built the largest fibre network in the country providing broadband voice and data in all the major cities and towns. It is an IAP as well as an ISP in Zimbabwe and as such provides services for residential, SMEs, large enterprise customers as well as other providers in Zimbabwe.
