Tech Mahindra has been awarded US $3.4 million Addis Ababa Transport Programme Management Office (AATPMO) contract to implement a Business Intelligence System and Enterprise Resource Planning.
The tender to implement the project had attracted bids from six firms out of which two – that is Techno Brain of Kenya and Tech Mahindra of India – later made it to the preliminary technical evaluation to compete in the financial stage of evaluation.
The Programme Office becomes the first to implement the system among other agencies within the Addis Ababa City Government.
Once implemented, the system will organise, define and standardise the work processes necessary to effectively plan and control an organisation. Its primary objective is to increase efficiency and transparency of project management at the Programme Office. It will also help the Project Manager to easily follow the progress of projects.
The AATPMO was established in 2012, with the aim of facilitating different transport programmes and projects within Addis Ababa.
The system features ERP applications which will provide recommendations of what needs to be accomplished in order to meet the forecasted demand and keep the business functioning smoothly.
To implement the ERP and Business Intelligence System, Tech Mahindra has partnered with global ERP vendor Oracle.
