However, in a short update issued yesterday, Hellen Ndirangu, Sponsorships & Business Development Executive at Aidems Business Solution stated that “The inaugural East Africa Gaming Convention – (EAGC) is now set to be held in Nairobi, Kenya on the 14-16 April 2017 at the soon to be opened 2 Rivers Mall”.
The inaugural regional gaming expo aims to meet the needs of the gaming enthusiasts in the region. The convention will act as a lead platform for meeting the entire value chain in the industry by introducing a wide variety of educational and entertainment video games, online games as well as mobile games, education and information software, game-related hardware, and next-generation platforms. Other items that will be showcased include latest phones, laptops, computers, tablets etc.
The event will provide a platform for companies and organisations to showcase their gaming services and products to potential clients and partners.
During the expo, outstanding game developers from the region will be recognised and awarded various prizes and local game developers have also been invited to set up booths.
