Ajira Digital Program to be launched on November 24

The Ministry of ICT through the ICT Authority has set up a new portal – ‘Ajira Digital Program’  –  to bridge the gap between skills demand and lack of jobs.The program will be launched on Thursday November 24, 2016 during the training organized for youth officers from across the country and held at KCB Leadership Centre, Nairobi.

The program aims to introduce young people to online work and provide the tools, training and mentorship needed for them to work and earn an income.

The program partners include the Ministries of Public Service, Youth and Gender Affairs, Education, Science and Technology, and Foreign affairs. Others are the civil society and the private sector.

Through the program, the Ministry will by December 2017, support 1 million young Kenyans to find and complete work online by raising the profile of online work; promoting a mentorship and collaborative learning approach to finding online work; providing Kenyans with access to online work and promoting Kenya as a destination for online work.

  1. The program is good,if possible make net to be available for free .this is because most young people in our country earn less than 100 bob per day .for those with more come from royal background..
