A Kisii-based salesman who works for a local microfinance institution has been named the winner of an Isuzu double-cab valued at Kshs 4.5 million. He was awarded the grand prize as a part of the recently-concluded Betway customer reward promotion called “30,000 Prizes in 30 Days.”
Geoffrey Koech, the 32-year old salesman, was beaming with joy when the brand-new double-cab was handed over to him earlier today in Nairobi by Betway Kenya Country Manager, Wanja Gikonyo.

During the session, an evidently elated Koech made public his plans to venture into maize farming in the near future, especially now that he has a sturdy truck to transport farm inputs and harvested produce to the market. “This win has come at the right time; the truck will come in handy especially now that I am seriously considering venturing into agriculture on a full-time basis,” he said.
Koech is also interested in the building and construction industry, a dream well-substantiated considering his seemingly unending streak of success. He is clearly a man blessed with luck, having won a television and smartphone earlier this year in a similar Betway customer reward promotion. His biggest betting win before this was KSh305,000, which he won after placing a multiple bet last year.
The month-long “30,000 Prizes in 30 Days” promotion offered sports betting fans the chance to win 30,000 prizes in 30 days. Betway’s aim was to reward its loyal customers and to continue to invest in the development of a vibrant and responsible betting industry. The promotion has seen 1,000 prizes given away daily to lucky customers, including airtime, cash credits, Free Bets and, for every day, one customer won a Tecno C9 smartphone.
“Every day one of our 1,000 daily winners was selected to go into our Grand Prize draw at the end of the promotion where they stood the chance to win the Isuzu double-cab,” explained Betway Country Manager, Wanja Gikonyo.
To participate in the promotion, customers needed to bet a minimum of only KSh100 to gain one entry into the daily prize draw. Customers who placed bets of higher amounts earned more entries and also stood a higher chance of winning a daily prize.
“30,000 Prizes in 30 Days” was the largest promotion that Betway has run in Kenya to date and is indicative of both the success the company is seeing in the Kenyan market and the love of football that the country shares.
