Ericsson Kenya to award Kshs 1 million innovation prize to Illuminum Greenhouses




Ericsson Kenya will tomorrow – Wednesday December 14, 2016 – award its Ericsson Innovation Awards (EIA) prize to Illuminum Greenhouses

Illuminum Greenhouses emerged top in Sub-Saharan Africa its innovative solution – under EIA theme “The Future of Food”.

The Kenya-based agri-tech startup is the brainchild of two young entrepreneurs – 23-year-old Brian Bett and his colleague 22-year-old Taita Ngetich – who came up with the concept while college students.

It aims to enable farmers access affordable modern farming technologies so as to improve their productivity and incomes.

The event, to be held at Ericsson Kenya offices at Eden Square in Nairobi, will be officiated by Aakaash Sehgal, the Ericsson Kenya, Country Manager.
