Postal Corporation of Kenya – PCK or Posta – has appointed George Makori Ouko as its Assistant GM for ICT.
Makori joined Posta in December this year from Mahindra Comviva where he’d been the Country Manager for Tanzania for about 2 years.

According to a post on Posta’s Facebook page, Makori “brings a background in IT Strategy, corporate strategy, innovation, marketing analysis and product development to his work with family businesses, family offices and family foundations” adding that the parastatal has seen recent adjustment in its management to fastrack its contribution in providing quality innovations to its customers.
Makori’s work with corporates and enterprises have involved the governance aspects of IT and corporate strategy setup and financial oversight, continuity planning, analysis of firm performance and enterprise risk, business strategy formulation and execution, and integrating and financing philanthropy in the complex enterprise. He is also leading a research project on the resilience of family firms in emerging and frontier markets.
Before Mahindra Comviva, Makori had a stint with local telcos including Safaricom and Airtel Kenya in various management roles involving strategy definition and execution.
