After leaving Cisco where she was the PR lead for Africa for over 8 years in December 2015, Rose Bambi has now joined another IT firm, Teradata as the firm’s head of International PR and Social Media.
Ms Bambi, a Ugandan who has spent almost all her professional life in the UK, joined Teradata in August 2016 and is currently charged with managing the IT firm’s overall PR and Social Media strategy across its International region comprising Africa, Middle East (EMEA) and Asia Pacific.

In her new role, she “cultivates and maintains positive, high profile media coverage for Teradata’s brand and offerings with the goal of building ongoing visibility and recognition in the market, promoting our services, and establishing thought-leadership throughout target industries and audiences” and also has a “focused goal to drive metrics and measurement for all PR and social media activities across the region.
At Teradata, the US-based provider of data warehouse platforms, software and services founded in 1979, Ms Bambi also “liaises and engages closely with the global PR and Social Media team, the third party influencer relations team as well as product marketing.”
“I lead the International PR team across 36 countries and I’m the key contact point, information source and trusted advisor for all Public Relations/Corporate Communications matters related to Teradata in the International region,” states Ms Bambi on her LinkedIn page.
Bambi is a PR industry veteran, starting her journey within the profession in 1986 as an Account Executive at an agency.
She then joined the ICT industry in the middle of 2000 when she moved to Requisite Technology as the firm’s head of corporate communications for UK and Europe. Afterward about a year, she moved to Dell as Senior PR and Communications Manager for Africa and Middle East (EMEA) in charge of enterprise and consumer products.
From Dell, Bambi joined joined Cisco in September 2007 as the PR and Communications Lead for Middle East and Africa.
