Facebook, in partnership with KICTAnet, will host a a session to discuss about hate speech and using social media to advocate for positive social change, on Thursday March 16, from 11.30am.
The meeting’s announcement reads thus: “We will host an interactive, Chatham House rules discussion about hate speech on social media platforms and using social media to advocate for positive social change. It will address platform community standards, privacy tips and reporting, as well as using social media platforms to counter hate speech.”
The Chatham House Rule states that: When a meeting, or part thereof, is held under the Chatham House Rule, participants are free to use the information received, but neither the identity nor the affiliation of the speaker(s), nor that of any other participant, may be revealed.
