OLX to demo new services and products during BAKE Business meet-up

As markets get bigger, the demands of consumers to be treated specifically and personally grow louder. OLX, being an online platform where buyers and sellers meet on an online platform, has grown since its inception in 2006. The flexibility of this platform has assisted many people in the region to be able to create business and even have careers through buying and selling products and services online.

This buy and sell enterprise has emerged over the years in Kenya. The enterprise is nothing more than selling and purchasing relatively cheap new or previously owned products that we all need, use or want. Gone are the days when you had to keep a cooker, refrigerator or electronic appliance which you don’t need in your house. This always led to an unending pile of clutter that one did not know what to do with.

Today, products and services can easily be sold to someone who needs them on an online platform such as OLX. All you need to do is register and post your items on the site or through their Application with the price and the location of the product. For the buyer, they will get preferences depending on their needs and wants from the price range to the nearest place where they can purchase the item.

In an effort to connect with the growing online community and improve people’s lives by bringing them together for win-win exchanges, OLX will be having a meet and greet, and a conversation with this community. OLX has always worked with the online community in the past and from the meeting, we wish to rekindle this relationship and forge forward.

On the panel will be:

Peter Ndiang’ui –  Country Manager OLX

Priscilla Muhia – Business Development Head EA

OLX will also be talking about their new service, OLX Champ One, as well as an app for it and the future of OLX.
