After less than two years at Westcon Africa, a distributor of ICT solutions in Africa, Eric Odipo has quit the firm and moved to Multichoice as the MD of the payTV service provider’s operation in Kenya.
At Westcon Africa, Odipo was the GM and Area Sales Leader for Africa, a role which gave him overall responsibility for business success across East, Central, West Africa, Angola and the Indian Ocean Islands ( about 30 countries). He was also a member of the Africa, Middle East and Europe (EMEA) leadership team.

Odipo joined Multichoice Kenya in June and is currently head of the firm’s DStv, GOtv and SuperSport divisions.
Before Odipo was brought in, Catherine Bomett had been acting Managing Director as the Multichoice Kenya MD.
His appointment followed the coming on board of four other executives earlier in the year. In March, Multcichoice appointed Mwendwa Maundu as the GM for Regulatory Affairs in East Africa, Kenneth Oyolla as the GM for Commercial Affairs in charge of East Africa, Simon Kariithi as GM for GOtv Kenya and Wycliffe Omondi as the HR Business Partner for East Africa.
Prior to Westcon, Odipo served in various roles at Microsoft after joining the software vendor in 2009 as the Channel Director for East and Southern. He left Microsoft after 6 years in 2015 after being elevated to the position of GM for East and Southern Africa, a position he held for 3 years.
