After launching the F5 late last year, OPPO is set to announce a new addition to its smartphone portfolio with the introduction of OPPO A83. The OPPO A83 has features a full-screen and other high-end specs but with a moderate price tag.
The new device is a rework on the design of previous models. The finger has been eliminated from the front of the phone, meaning that the extra space will now be dedicated to the screen which also comes with facial security capability.
Chronicling the brand’s growth, James Irungu, OPPO Kenya PR and Communication Manager, highlighted the company’s efforts to make unique smartphones that will usher smartphone enthusiasts into an era of endless possibilities on the mobile devices and exceptional photography experiences.
“The flexible display and design market this 2018 is expected to grow quickly as this technology is expected to expand further and diverse. Our goal is to take an early lead in the flexible display market by introducing new products with enhanced performance and differentiated designs this year,” said Irungu.
Scheduled to launch locally in mid-February, OPPO A83 will feature a Full Screen with a 720*1440 pixels screen resolution. The device has a rear and front camera with the Artificial Intelligence technology that can detect over 200 facial spots from the global data base also maintaining the famous facial unlock technology.
OPPO A83 made its debut in other global markets in January 2018 where it’s been from 200 EUR (about Kshs 25,200).
