Safaricom extends home fibre coverage to Ngummo estate, targets 1,200 households

Safaricom has connected Ngummo estate to its Fibre-to-the-Home (FTTH) service in Nairobi County. The move is targeted at the more than 1,200 homes in Ngummo and Newa estates and brings the number of homes within reach of the service to more than 144,000 countrywide.

“Ngummo has been one of the estates where the service has been highly requested. With fibre connectivity now a basic need, we are keen to bring more homes in the County within reach of quality, fixed and affordable broadband services,” said Steve Okeyo, Director of Regional Services and Operations, Safaricom.

Customers can pick from a variety of packages starting with a basic Bronze 5 Mbps package for Kshs 2,500. For streaming, and moderate to heavy usage, customers can choose from a 10 Mbps Silver package, 20 Mbps Gold Package and 40 Mbps Platinum Package for Kshs 3,499, Kshs 4,999 and Kshs 9,999 respectively.
