Samsung Electronics are now taking pre-orders for the Galaxy Note9, starting today – Friday August 17, 2018, giving the first 500 customers the opportunity to receive their new devices from next week, August 24, 2018. The customers making the pre-order will also get a welcome pack consisting of the new DeX HDMI cable – that enables the user connect their Galaxy Note9 to a monitor or TV screen for a desktop experience, a wireless charger and a tripod stand, all worth Kshs 12,000.
Making the announcement, Charles Kimari, Head of Mobile Division at Samsung, said the Galaxy Note 9 will be offered in Kenya in the colour variants of Midnight Black, Ocean Blue with a Yellow S Pen and the new Metallic Copper with matching S Pen.
“Our smartphone portfolio continues to evolve to provide our customers with devices that enhance their lives and open the possibilities to new experiences. The Galaxy Note9 is designed for a level of performance, power and intelligence that today’s power users want and need,” added Kimari.
The S Pen is the signature feature of the Note series. Now with Bluetooth Low-Energy (BLE) support, the new S Pen delivers an entirely new way to use the Note. With just a click, it’s now possible to take selfies and group pictures, present slides, pause and play video, and more. Developers can even integrate the S Pen’s new, advanced BLE functionalities into their apps later this year.
Galaxy Note9’s 4,000mAh battery, the largest ever on a flagship Galaxy phone, will offer long-lasting power to use all-day to talk, text, play games and watch movies from morning to night. And to help in storing as much audio and visual content, Galaxy Note9 is available in two internal storage options of 128GB and 512GB. And with the ability to insert a microSD card up to 512GB, Galaxy Note9 is 1TB ready.
Globally, the phone will go on sale on August 24 in select markets.
