OPPO F9 Pro now available in Kenya for Kshs 37,990

OPPO has unveiled the F9 Pro in Kenya targeting customers keen to get their loved ones a phone as a Christmas present.

Coming about a month after the launch of the OPPO F9, the F9 Pro features a water-drop screen as well as a gradient colour design and speed.

“Once again for the Kenyan market we introduce a phone that is developed for the discerning customer. OPPO F9 Pro offers our customers high performance and a special design which has become our company specialty, the RAM is an addition to water-drop screen and the VOOC flash charging capability that saves time and allows longer phone usage without need to charge frequently,” said OPPO PR and Communications Manager, James Irungu.

With a 3,500mAh battery capacity, the phone utilizes a smart battery management system to prevent battery drain. The 25MP front-facing camera coupled with a dual rear camera that provides depth of field, the F9 Pro is a devise that will make this festive season memorable for its owner. The phone brings a tall 6.3-inch FHD+ Waterdrop Screen with a 19.5:9 aspect ratio and a 90.8 per cent screen-to-body ratio.

The phone’s back cover comes in “glassy finish design”, meaning that the back is a glossy plastic rather than glass, a feature that makes the device more durable.

“Compared with conventional high current protection, VOOC uses 5 levels of protection layering from the adapter to the port and interior of the phone. VOOC has replaced the voltage reducing circuit with an MCU, effectively preventing your  mobile phone from overheating while charging. This is revolutionary for our customers,” added Irungu.

Powered by octa-core MediaTek Helio P60 chipset processor, the F9 Pro is a machine for speed with an AI battery management feature. The phone’s specs further states a 6GB + 64GB memory and storage option.

The OPPO F9 Pro retails in Kenya at a cost of Kshs 37,990
