Showmax has added the DStv Explora to its list of supported devices in Kenya, making it possible for Explora owners to enjoy the entire binge-worthy Showmax catalogue directly on any big-screen TV. However, remember the Explora needs to be connected to the internet to stream Showmax content.
Now, here’s how to get Showmax on the Explora:

- Push the blue DStv button on the Explora remote control.
- Scroll to “Watch now” and select “Showmax”.
- Navigate to the content you’d like to watch and push OK.
- Sign into your Showmax account. If you don’t have an account, sign up at Showmax.com
- Once you’ve signed in, you can then start watching!
When, as a DStv Premium subscriber, you decide to add Showmax to your DStv bill, you’re then able to access Showmax content at no extra cost in Kenya.
Now, here’s how to add Showmax to a DStv account in Kenya:
- Go to dstv.com
- Click on “My Account” and sign in to Easy platform.
- Click on “Go to Showmax” and sign up for Showmax.
- You will be automatically redirected to the voucher capture screen where the activation code is pre-populated, press submit.
- Accept billing and click “yes”.
Afterwards, you then continue enjoying Showmax content in addition to other DStv programming.
