After 13 years at Cisco, David Bunei moves to Oracle as MD for Kenya

Oracle has announced the appointment of David Bunei as Managing Director of Kenya operations. In this role, David will be responsible for helping Kenyan public and private sector organisations achieve strategic objectives by driving digital transformation with Oracle Cloud.  

With more than two decades experience in the IT and Telecommunications sector, David has held several leadership roles with leading organisations. Prior to joining Oracle, Bunei spent over 13 years at Cisco Systems, with his latest role being the GM responsible for business in East Africa and Indian Ocean Islands for almost four years, from September 2015. This position followed other leadership roles at the organisation, in technical and sales management.

Kenya is one of 10 African nations where Oracle has dedicated offices to serve the local business community. Other countries are Nigeria, Egypt, South Africa, Algeria, Ghana, Ivory Coast, Morocco, Mauritius and Senegal. Oracle’s presence on the African continent dates back 30 years.

The Oracle Cloud offers a suite of integrated applications for Sales, Service, Marketing, Human Resources, Finance, Supply Chain and Manufacturing, plus Highly Automated and Secure Generation 2 Infrastructure featuring the Oracle Autonomous Database.
