Secucloud adds new access points in Africa and Asia for faster access to security infrastructure

In order to provide customers with both speed and security, the German managed security services provider Secucloud has added two new access points to its Global Cloud Backbone. Located in Asia and Africa, they will enable customers in those regions to benefit from even faster access to Secucloud’s global security infrastructure. The specialist in cloud-based security is also reinforcing its European infrastructure with two additional access points in Germany. These initiatives are a result of Secucloud’s strong growth in international markets and of compliance with Germany’s stringent data protection standards.

With its Secucloud Enterprise Solutions, Secucloud has expanded its range of cloud-based security systems for resellers and business customers. Both can benefit from its managed security service solution with a package of powerful security technologies that they can scale to their needs. And as these technologies are cloud-based, they always stay up to date with no need for any maintenance work by the reseller or customer. Based on a cutting-edge Firewall as a Service (FWaaS), the Secucloud solution protects today’s corporate networks against attacks – in a centralized and efficient way. In addition, the SD-WAN component allows companies to securely interconnect their various locations. Together with the FWaaS and a secure web gateway, the solution ensures the highest level of protection for companies’ sensitive data and valuable intellectual property.

The Global Cloud Backbone forms the technological heart of Secucloud Enterprise Solutions. It comprises a dynamic, cloud-based cluster system that synchronizes globally in real time, analyzes network traffic, and transmits it to the relevant location. The launch of the new access points gives customers in Asia and Africa an enhanced connection to the centralized security infrastructure of Secucloud Enterprise Solutions. In this way, companies based in these regions, along with global enterprises with subsidiaries there, benefit from significantly shorter latency times and faster performance in the protection of their network traffic.

Secucloud has also implemented two additional access points in Germany as a result of the ongoing growth of its customer base in central Europe. Along with the performance aspect, data protection legislation is a key reason for Secucloud’s initiative. It ensures that Secucloud Enterprise Solutions customers can specify that their managed security service only uses access points in a particular country. This helps them ensure that their data flows remain for example within Germany and are therefore subject to the stringent security standards in German legislation.

“The regions of Asia-Pacific and Africa definitely have a place on the global map of promising growth markets,” says Dennis Monner, CEO of Secucloud. “As well as offering a lot of business potential, these markets of the future are also among today’s major innovation drivers. Many of our customers already have subsidiaries and branch offices there or are currently planning expansion into these regions. We’re currently seeing a rapid increase in the data volumes protected against threats by our Secucloud Enterprise Solutions in Asia and Africa – and that’s why we’re responding with the implementation of additional local access points. They will ensure that our growing customer base in promising growth markets like these can use our entire Secucloud Enterprise Solutions portfolio with the best performance and the lowest latency times – and can be sure they’re benefiting from the highest level of protection for their sensitive network traffic.”

The international security specialist Secucloud provides companies with cloud-based, industry-standard security systems. The modular Elastic Cloud Security System (ECS2) is installed directly into the carrier’s network infrastructure, enabling it to protect its B2B2x customers from all threats in today’s cyberspace in a centralized way and with no need to install any software on devices. The Secucloud solution scales elastically to enable carriers to protect their customers, even if they have more than 100 million users, with no impact on performance.

With its “Secucloud Enterprise Solutions” managed security service solution, Secucloud provides a B2B security service for company networks with between 100 and 10,000 users. This includes Firewall-as-a-Service (FwaaS), Software-Defined WANs (SD-WAN) and a Secure Web Gateway (SWG) solution. With its international partnerships with multiple well-known providers, Secucloud already reaches just under 1 billion users around the world. To analyze the data streams, Secucloud combines multiple powerful security technologies, including next-generation AI-based firewalls, packet analyzers, deep packet inspection, IDS and IPS systems, global cloud intelligence, DNS layer analyzers, SSL scan decision, trust & reputation analyzers, APT sandbox analyzers and content analyzers.
