Goldenscape Group has refuted claims that the company is dodging payment of taxes due to the country’s tax collector, the Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA).
The claims by the employee who was sacked listed the firm’s 15 companies alleging that it does not file annual company returns.
Goldenscape Group said,via a notice issued on its Facebook page, that it is deeply disappointed by the letter spread in social media by the aggrieved ex-employee.
“To our esteemed clients, we would like to confirm that earlier today on social media one of our aggrieved employee who was summarily dismissed is circulating false information about our company. We would like to assure you that we are a credible company and all our documents are in order,” Peter Wangai, CEO Goldenscape Group said.
The umbrella company operates in diverse fields ranging from, Construction, Real estate, Technology, Architecture, Agriculture, online shopping, logistics and branding. The group’s Greenhouse unit deals with agribusiness investment and prides itself as being the first firm in Kenya to introduce the ‘Lease Agreement Greenhouse Concept’ where potential investors lease a greenhouse to then use on the company’s land.
