Glovo, the e-logistics company that links motorcycle riders to consumers wishing to buy and deliver products, has opened a new technical centre in Kenya in a bid to enhance its service levels to consumers and riders.
The new facility dubbed “Glover Center” and a second new Glovo operations facility in Westlands are set to create 75 operations jobs directly and help to improve the efficiency of service for Glovo customers and riders. Glovo can now provide faster and localised rider and customer support, and in turn faster deliveries. The move signals Glovo’s commitment to grow in Kenya by investing in its technology infrastructure.
“This is a major milestone in Glovo’s expansion in Kenya and for our broader vision of providing unparalleled convenience and customer experience to our users. Our overriding objective is to put our customers first. As we grow we are ensuring that our infrastructure and facilities keep pace,” said William Benthall, the Glovo GM for Kenya. “We are also really proud that Glovo is creating 75 new jobs in Nairobi as well as major income generating opportunities for our local partners who list their products on the platform: supermarkets, cooking gas, pharmacies, and restaurants ranging from Big Square to Kibanda Express.”
Glovo has been very deliberate in stepping up and creating an infrastructure that will improve consumer needs and guarantee customer satisfaction, ensuring that average delivery times on the platform continue to drop well below 45 minutes.
