Huawei Mobile has unveiled to new models in the P40 series – HUAWEI P40 and HUAWEI P40 Pro+. Set to be launched in the Kenyan market soon, the two models are portrayed as a blend of state-of-the-art technology and exquisite aesthetics.
The series’ Silver Frost, Ice White, Deep Sea Blue, Blush Gold and Black color schemes are inspired by the power of moving water, and further enhanced by the quad-curve screen which appears to flow over each side of the frame. In Kenya, the device will be available in two colour variants – Silver Frost and Black.
According to the Chinese mobile device vendor, the P40 series has adopted an “all-in-one” philosophy to the camera layout, with the lenses, sensors and the flash all gathered in a single unit. The lenses are touted as being the largest in the industry with a micrometer-grade composite GDM (Glass Direct Molding) texture. The lenses have been adjusted and tested according to the highest standards with ach lens fitted with green or blue film, indicating first-rate optical performance.
Still on camera, the P40 series comes with a 50 MP main camera which enables the user to magnify any small part from the frame, leading to a good shot with rich texture and colour; 12 MP telephoto camera; 40 MP ultra wide cine camera; and 3D depth sensing capability which enables real-time depth detection while creating professional-level bokeh effects. Additionally, the Ultra Vision Leica Quad Camera allows the user to capture quality images and videos both during the day or night, regardless of whether the subject is up close or at a distance.
The rounded corners of the HUAWEI P40 Pro and P40 Pro+ have been fashioned to produce smooth transitions between edges, sides and corners, creating an immersive viewing experience for the user without compromising the display area.
