Two weeks after taxi haling platform Little launched free rides of up to Kshs 600 per ride to customers in need of medical attention between the curfew hours 7pm -5am to MP Shah Hospital and Jacaranda Maternity Hospital, the firm has expanded the list of the health facilities to 9.
The development follows a deal Little signed with PharmAccess under the MomCare Initiative to offer free rides for customers going to 7 more hospitals.
The list of hospitals covered now includes the following: MP Shah Hospital; Jacaranda Maternity Hospital; Ruaraka Uhai Neema Hospital; Kasarani Maternity & Nursing Home; Nimoli Medical Services; Redeemed Gospel Church Health Center in Babadogo; Lang’ata Hospital; Melchizedek Hospital; and St. John’s Hospital in Githurai.
To benefit from the free offer, customers have to follow the steps below:
1: Log onto the Little app
2: Go to the Order a Ride option
3: Select the hospital location you wish to be transported to
4: Put Promo Code LITTLEEMERGENCY and click confirm
Customers can also use the promo code twice when ordering a ride and get Kshs 600 discount per ride (to the hospital and back home).
“We will continue to play our part in catering to the community and those most affected by this unfortunate pandemic. Thank you for going the mile with us,” Little said in the announcement.
Recently, the firm launched operations in Eldoret and Nyeri, enabling residents of the two towns to request for a ride either using the Little app, dialing *826# or through WhatsApp messenger and get the ride at a rate of Kshs 27 per kilometre.
