The realme C12 is the latest model to be released in the realme C series. Coming almost 3 months after the C11 was introduced in the Kenyan market, the C12 shares various aspects and features and specs with the C11, though overall, the two models are markedly different.
The two models have the same screen display size and even the same processor even though the C12 has a bigger RAM capacity at 3GB compared to the C11 which comes with a 2GB RAM.
The realme C12 has a larger field of view, thereby giving the user excellent gaming and video experience, allowing one enjoy wider field of view brought by the large screen coupled with the experience of a near-full screen.

All running on Android version 10 with realme UI, both the two models come with 5MP selfie cameras even though the C12 has a 13MP AI Triple camera as the main camera.
However, while the realme C12 has an instant fingerprint scanner at the back, the realme C11 has no fingerprint sensor.
The slightly heavier C12 comes with a comparatively higher battery capacity of 6,000mAh and costs Kshs 15,000, a relatively modest and competitive price considering the specs and features the device comes with. On the other hand, the C11, which has a 5000mAh battery, retails at Kshs 10,000 and is therefore a decent phone for those looking for a budget smartphone with excellent features and impeccable design.
The realme C12’s mega 6000mAh battery gives the user up to 57 days in standby mode, which is a longer standby period not even available in some flagship models. With special OTG reverse charge, realme C12 can also be used to charge other devices.
Just like the realme C11, the back of the realme C12 is rugged and grooved (or ribbed) for a more comfortable and firmer grip when held on the palm, ensuring that the device does not slip through the palm and drop when held.
Four cameras have been mounted at the left hand corner of the C12, just like in the C11 which has 3 cameras mounted in the same location. The design team at realme have since decided to retain this back camera position for all future models.
However, the main downside to the realme C12 is the set up process which is tedious and time consuming.
With 32GB of internal storage, by the time the device is set up, 3/4 of the capacity or 18GB, is already used up with system files. This leaves the user with less than 10GB of storage capacity to work with. This effectively leaves one with no alternative but to acquire and install an external storage card.
