Having looked at the Nokia C30 in our previous review, let’s now try and analyse some of the key features, specs and unique attributes in the Nokia C10, and highlight the reasons why the budget smartphone is good bargain.

Launched in mid-July, at a retail price of Kshs 8,900 but now available for an even reduced price of just Kshs 7,600 on Jumia, is an incredible device at a comparatively reasonable and modest price-point.

Coming in grey and light purple colour variants, the Nokia C10 is wrapped in a casing with a micro-texture finish which makes it easy to hold with no anxiety and worry about the phone slipping from your palm and dropping to the ground as it is not slippery, and therefore has a good and firm grip.

According to HMD, the Nokia C10 is the best smartphone when it comes to affordability and for the price-conscious consumer.

Gopher Ogembo, the Senior Business Manager for Kenya and East Africa at HMD Global noted during the launch thus: “Following the popularity of our ultra-high value C-series, we are expanding the range to continue our mission to provide accessible connectivity to everyone. I believe the Nokia C10 is the best of smartphones at an affordable price point. Kenyans will get that peace of mind with the rigid and sleek Nokia phone build quality and all-day battery life, complimented by that premium feel with a removable unibody back cover with micro-texture finishing. The Nokia C10 is no exception.”

And it’s easier to see why the vendor came to that conclusion considering the features, functionalities and capacity of the device.

Large screen:

With its large 6.5-inch HD+ screen, it means that viewing photos taken during your memorable moments, watching your favourite movies, or even playing your popular mobile games will be an exceptional experience while using the Noia C10.

When it comes to display, the 20:9 aspect ratio means that the images and photos won’t be distorted in size, resulting in an even better viewing experience for the user.

So whether you like watching your content during your commute or while unwinding in your bedroom after a long and busy day at work, the large display screen of the Nokia C10 ensures that you are sorted.

Long battery life:

The large screen and viewing of files using the phone definitely requires a stable battery that can run for long without the need for a recharge. And here again, the Nokia C10 doesn’t disappoint. The phone’s 3,000mAh removable battery can take you through the day before it can be recharged in the evening once you get back to the house, thereby allowing you more convenience and peace of mind.

Being removable, the battery can be replaced with a new one after it is worn out and unable to recharge or hold the charge for long periods after being recharged.

Overall performance:

The Nokia C10 is shipped with Android 11 (Go edition), the latest version of the OS which makes it easier and quicker to open apps, save files, locate and share photos and videos, more efficiently and flawlessly. And for the security and privacy conscious user, the device comes with added security features – including biometric face unlock capability – which ensures that your files and other data within the phone is kept safe and away from unwarranted access by third parties.
