Kaspersky Premium: The ultimate for total protection and regular alerts

Data theft and unauthorized access to information contained within our mobile devices is always a constant concern for users. And just to see how serious is, Kaspersky detection systems in 2021 discovered an average of 380,000 new malicious files per day, reflecting a growth of 20,000 files per day compared to 2020.

Added to this is the fact that there are new types of threats continuing to emerge: from advanced stealers targeting the accounts of popular online gaming platforms or cryptowallets, to stalkerware that enables a perpetrator to secretly spy on another person’s private life via a mobile device.

In view of this, and to ensure that we guard and protect our personal data from malicious access, we need to take personal responsibility. This is involves, among other things, ensuring that data and files saved within our PCs, phones, tablets or any device cannot be accessed without our permission, knowledge, or awareness.

The tried and tested method to protect our digital files and resources has always been through the use of antivirus solutions, installing them in our devices to guard against unauthorized access to our data.

And talking of antivirus solutions, let’s state here that from December 2022, I’ve been using the Kaspersky Premium package. As part of this review, we’ll give you a run-down of our experience with the solution from installation to performance.

Here goes…

Installation:

  • Key to note is that the subscription is valid for 1 year after you add an activation code to your ‘My Kaspersky’ account. And with the Kaspersky Premium package, you can connect up to 3 devices on any platforms, including Android and iOS. However, Kaspersky highly recommends that you start with the Windows platform.
  • Visit https://my.kaspersky.com/and create a NEW account. It will be used for further login in Kaspersky Premium app (and its activation) and sharing subscription across other devices (including iOS and Android). (DON’T: Don’t sign in with your Facebook, Apple or Google accounts as doing so may also create complications switching between your accounts.
  • After you’ve created an account, choose the region and accept all the stated agreements. You’ll then be taken to the main ‘My Kaspersky’ page. https://my.kaspersky.com/MyLicenses#/
  • Once here, add your activation code here:

  • Afterwards, download and install Kaspersky Premium on your Windows device when you Click here.
  • Then install the app. Use your ‘My Kaspersky’ account credentials (that you’ve just created and added the activation code) to sign in. Completing these steps will enable you to access and utilize the full range of features: that is unlimited VPN, Data Leak Checker for unlimited number of email addresses, as well as Password Manager for as many entries as you need.
  • Remember that if you’d want to use the same Kaspersky Premium subscription on other devices, you can use the same My Kaspersky account credentials in other apps (iOS, Android, or another Windows device).
