The history of soccer, known in other countries as football, has shown many teams over the years that have stood out compared to the rest. The sport is constantly evolving and has as much excitement as you would see during an upset victory during your search for March Madness Betting Odds.

One-and-done teams that might have a good roster do not carry the same value as you would see in dominant dynasties. Belal you can see who ranks among the top 10 best teams to ever do it.

The 2004 Arsenal Team

Coined as the ”Arsenal Invincibles”, this team finished the entirety of the 2003-2004 season undefeated. The team included a handful of stars and quality players such as Theirry Henry, Dennis Bergkamp, Patrick Vieira, and Robert Pires.

The way they played offensively was not something you saw everyday. Their quick attack put constant pressure on defenses that were unable to counter back.

Milan in the 90’s

From 1988 to 1994, Milan was a deadly team to deal with during this stretch. They went on to win the European Cup on three occasions and the Italian League four times.

They had one heck of a roster that included legends. Most notably were players Paolo Maldini, Marco Van Basten, Ruud Gullit, Frank Rijkaard, and Franco Baresi.

Liverpool in 1984

This Liverpool team was a force to be reckoned with in ‘84. They were so busy that year that they won the league, a domestic cup, and the European Cup all in the same season.

However, they narrowly defeated Roma by penalties in the final. They were led by star player Ian Rush, who had 47 goals that season along with the help of teammates Kenny Dalglish, Graeme Souness, and Alan Hansen.

A Few Years for West Germany

West Germany won the 1972 European Championships and the 1974 World Cup with a roster of some of the best to ever do it. Led by Franz Beckenbauer, the team had other key players such as Berti Vogts and their excellent triker, Gerd Müller.

France’s Solid Run

In the 1998 World Cup, France defeated an overwhelming favorite Brazil team 3-0. Shortly after, this team carried on to win the 2000 European Championships. Their roster had legends at nearly every spot, such as Theirry Henry, Zinedine Zidane, Didier Deschamps, Lauren Blanc, and Lilian Thuram.

Real Madrid Early Days

When soccer was beginning to show popular demand in the US, Real Madrid was having some of the best soccer ever. With a dynamic duo of Alfredo Di Stéfano and Ferenc Puskas, the team won the European Cup five consecutive years in a row during that stretch.

Manchester United Before Dot Com Era

Manchester United won the 1999 Premier League, FA Cup, and Champions League in one season. You can thank more legends of course like Paul Scholes, David Beckham, Ryan Giggs, Roy Keane, and Peter Schmeichal.

Barcelona in 2009

This Barcelona team had the emergence of Lionel Messi, who was arguably the best in the world. They were able to win the first ever treble by a Spanish team. They also won the UEFA Super Cups and the FIFA Club World Cup that year, making it an all around performance that season.

The 1970 Brazil Team

In 1970, the FIFA World Cup witnessed one of the most dominating acts of soccer. The Brazil team had 19 goals across four games.

Pelé, Gerson, Jairzinho, Rivelino, and Tostão all contributed along with star Carlos Alberto. In addition, Alberto delivered one of the greatest of all time goals in the final against Italy.

Five Year Reign from Spain

From 2007 to 2012, Spain accomplished something that few teams have ever been able to do. They won three international soccer tournaments when they won the 2008 and 2012 European Championships and the 2010 FIFA World Cup.

On top of that, from 2007 to 2009 they had gone 35 games without a loss. This includes their 10 qualification games for the 2010 World Cup.

This was a bit of a super team from various Barcelona and Real Madrid teams. Think of excellent players like David Villa, Xavi, Andres Iniesta, Carles Puyol, Xabi Alonso, and Iker Casillas.
