The Hub Karen to host mega Easter celebration for families

The Hub Karen, Nairobi’s premier shopping mall located in the heart of Karen, has announced an Easter Egg Hunt as part of a jam-packed schedule of holiday celebrations – with plenty for the whole family to enjoy.

Eggs will be hidden by the lakeside, with prizes on offer to those who find the most overall, and to those who find the most special golden eggs.

This is just a small part of The Hub Karen’s EasterFest weekend celebrations, from April 7 – 9, 2023, which will also feature a unique family event from Sauti Sol member (Polycarp Otieno), called Sol kids. Sol kids festival will take place on Saturday April 8 and Sunday April 9, 2023 between 11.00 am and 8.00 pm.

The event aims to showcase childrens’ content pegged on a platform focused on nurturing a generation of children who understand, appreciate, and celebrate being African. There will also be book readings and a craft centre set up by the lakeside.

Parents can also relax and enjoy a mesmerizing live band led by Edward Parseen and indulge in the Easter Food Fest with bespoke Easter menus from restaurants within the mall. The restaurants within the mall will offer menus starting from Kshs 800 – Kshs 900 during Easter.

On Saturday, April 8, and Sunday, April 9, The Hub Karen will also host a mega celebration featuring Piazza, Lakeside Market, Car display, and other exciting activities.

Following its opening in 2016, The Hub Karen quickly became the jewel of Nairobi. With its captivating architecture, many international brands opt to use The Hub Karen as their strategic launch pad into the Kenyan market. The Hub Karen is an open-air space that embraces the great weather Nairobi has to offer. Centered around two main piazza’s, the mall also has an expansive garden and lake feature that faces restaurants and shops and is home to a new adventure space with the first and longest zip-line within a shopping mall setting in East Africa.

The mall’s vision is to become the leading family destination in Nairobi through expanding on its food and entertainment offerings. The mall is environmentally friendly with energy and resource saving initiatives that include solar power generation and sewage water treatment plant that recycles water to be used in the garden.
