Redmi Note 12: The key differences and unique features of the four models in the series

After a number of pre-launch updates to the brand’s fan base and the entire mid-range smartphone market, Xiaomi eventually unveiled its Redmi Note 12 series in the local market on May 2, 2023.

The Redmi Note 12 series, though targeted at the mid-range segment, has devices with flagship features and specifications as relates to various aspects including camera, screen display, battery capacity and charging efficiency, storage and processor speed, as well as overall performance.

The Note 12 series has four device models – namely Redmi Note 12 Pro+ 5G, Redmi Note 12 Pro, Redmi Note 12S, and Redmi Note 12 – all coming at different price tags according to the particular model’s specs and features, ranging from Kshs 22,000 to Kshs 50,000.

The four devices in the Redmi Note 12 series have a number of unique features and major differences which sets each of them apart from the others. Even though the four models have side-mounted Fingerprint scanner and AI face Unlock capability, they differ slightly when it comes to the type and specs of the screen display mounted on each. All the devices are also fitted with a 5000 mAh long-lasting battery though they differ when it comes to the Fast Charging capability of each model.

The devices also differ significantly in as far as the camera specs and photography features of each model goes, with the Redmi Note 12 Pro+ 5G evidently coming with the best overall camera in the series followed by the Redmi Note 12 Pro (4G). The models also have slight variations in size and overall weight of each device in the series as well as processor type (and specs).

Again, the Redmi Note 12 series devices have unique differences when it comes to audio features and speaker enhancements fitted into each model.
